There are many support options available to help you to quit smoking, but did you know that the practice offers smoking cessation at both sites?
If you wish to arrange an appointment, please ‘Submit a Request’ on the home page of our website, or contact the practice in person or via telephone. Smoking is one of the biggest avoidable causes of disease and premature death in the United Kingdom. Our friendly service and can massively boost your chances of quitting for good. Many people try to quit smoking with willpower alone, but it’s much easier to go smoke-free with a member of the practice for support.
During your appointments, you will be able to talk about why you smoke and why you want to quit, as well as any attempts you have made to quit in the past. You will also be able to decide on a quit date and go through a number of supportive stop smoking treatments:

You will be offered a breath test with a device called a Smokerlyzer, which shows the level of carbon monoxide – a poisonous gas in cigarette smoke – in your body. It’s never too late to quit and it’s easier to stop smoking with the right support.
