The GP Hub

We recently reached out to members of our Patient Participation Group (PPG) with a survey to learn more about their understanding of The Hub.

What is the GP Hub? The GP Hub is a GP led evening and weekend service where local GPs and practice nurses offer a range of services for patients registered with a GP surgery in Greater Peterborough. The GP Hub is run by a group of GP surgeries in Greater Peterborough called the Greater Peterborough Network.

Nene Valley Hodgson Medical Practice has secured an additional 19 hours of appointment time each week, exclusively for our patient population, during the evenings and weekends.

What the Hub offers:

Convenient Access: The Hub offers flexible appointment times including evenings and weekends

Medical Records: with sharing preferences in place on your medical record, the clinical team at The Hub will be able to view your full medical record, to ensure they have full knowledge of historic events or ongoing concerns. In addition to this, our clinicians will be able to view your Hub appointment notes here at the practice.

Appointment types: The Hub offers a range of appointments such as phlebotomy, Practice Nurse, cervical smears, Health Care Assistants, face-to-face Advanced Nurse Practitioner and face-to-face GP appointments

Test results: The results of any tests you have undertaken at the The Hub return to your GP practice for further management, if required.

Location: The Hub is located on Thorpe Road, a convenient central location which offers parking and the number 2 Stagecoach bus route

Provider & funding: The service is provided by GPN https://www.greaterpeterboroughgps.nhs.uk/

Next time you’re looking to arrange an appointment with a clinician, please bear in mind The GP Hub.
